MEET THE CHIEFS EVENTS POLICIES

Last updated: 7 October 2021

YOUR EXPERIENCE IS OUR PRIORITY

We value our clients and the format of our briefings is designed to maximise opportunities to hear high calibre leaders speak on topical issues, to meet and engage with peers and colleagues; and to encourage thought leadership in industry.

Our reputation in Canberra is our currency and we are proud to call Canberra home.

COVID COMPLIANT PRACTICES
Our aim is to minimise the risk of COVID to our attendees by following the current ACT Government guidelines. Our events staff are kept up to date with any developments and we follow the COVID-safe practices required by our venues.  While we make every effort to ensure we follow the guidelines, attending Meet The Chiefs events is at the risk of attendees. Before attending our events we advise all attendees to check the ACT Government's latest health guidelines and practices.  In particular, we ask anyone who is not well or experiencing any COVID like symptoms to not attend.

SEATING PRACTICES

Our standard is to use round tables of eight (8) which exceeds ACT pandemic requirements and gives our  Meet The Chiefs clients personal space. Table sales are for eight (8) places. Our attendees highly value our ‘profit above people’ approach to seating.

MEALS

Meals provided at Meet The Chiefs industry briefings usually include beef, lamb or chicken. A vegetarian or vegan meal will be available.

Dietary requirements are requested at booking and forwarded to the venue five (5) working days before the event.  Please be aware it may not be possible to provide an alternative meal after that. Meet The Chiefs cannot guarantee all types of dietary requirement can be met.

UPCOMING EVENTS AND PAYMENT PRACTICE
In good faith, Meet The Chiefs will only advertise and receive payments for industry briefings which have been confirmed in writing by the Principal Speaker.  When speaker changes are beyond our control we will endeavour to ensure a speaker of equal standing or representation or we will postpone the event.

TICKET CANCELLATIONS

Individual registrations- Final numbers are confirmed with the venue five (5) working days before the industry briefing and individual tickets are fully refundable up until that time. A substitute person may attend at no extra cost.

Table and sponsorship bookings - Minimum numbers are confirmed with the venue at the time of booking. Due to this financial commitment we are unable to offer refunds for confirmed tables and sponsorship bookings.

POSTPONEMENT
Meet The Chiefs reserves the right to postpone any industry briefing. As much notice as possible will be published on the website. All paid individuals, table owners and sponsors will be contacted personally and automatically transferred to the new date. Should attendance on the new date not be possible due to pandemic restrictions a full refund will be offered. In other circumstances transfer to another industry briefing or a credit note will be available.
